Dragon Warrior Shadows of Erdrick Rules of Conduct
To be followed by all players.
1. Welcome! As a player, you are visiting our world. You are a guest here. Playing is a privilege, not a right. Please abide by our rules and we'll get along fine.
2. Respect. We will respect you as long as you respect us. We want the game to be fun for all. So treat others as you'd want to be treated. Treat the game as you would want your own game to be treated.
3. Cheating. I would like to say use your common sense on this, but I'm sure I'll have to be more descriptive on what is considered cheating.
A. Bug Abuse - Mainly bug abuse sums up most forms of cheating. Some forms of this are money duplication, item duplication, flying bugs, etc. If you find a bug, it is to be reported to a moderator or gm as soon as possible. Any use of a bug will be considered cheating and will be punishable.
B. Multi Keying - Though Multi Keying (using multiple accounts at once, usually used to simulate extra players) is no longer possible without GM permission, those who have been given this privilege are not to abuse it. You have been given this for the sole purpose of someone else in your household being able to play along with you. Any attempts to use this to gain any advantage (extra items, gold, etc) will be punished however the GM or Moderator sees fit. Most likely you will just lose your ability to Multi Key, but if staff sees it fit to use further punishment, then they shall.
C. Etc. - Use your common sense. If it might be cheating, then it probably is cheating. If you cannot use your own mind to determine what is right from wrong, a moderator or a gm will show demonstrate through punishment.
4. Harassment. Now this has been a topic of some discussion in the past. If it's a basic argument then figure it out for yourselves. I'm not a babysitter. If it's truly making you uncomfortable and you'd like to let a moderator or gm know about it, then please do. But don't expect them to solve all your problems for you. You should be able to work out most problems on your own. A few forms of harassment to report to a mod or gm are...
A. PvP Harassment - PvP can be fun, but not if both players don't want to be part of it. Do not attack people who are afk for obvious reasons. Do not attack someone after they've clearly told you they're not interested. Do not spam attack, meaning do not constantly attack someone over and over. Violating these are punishable.
B. Verbal Harassment - First off, it's not a moderator or gm's job to settle your arguments. Please try and settle things yourselves. We try to keep a pretty free flowing game here. Just go back to the respect rule and things should be perfectly fine. If there is a real problem then it is up to the discretion of the moderator or gm to deal with it as they see fit.
5. Suggestions. We take your suggestions seriously. However, we cannot use every suggestion we are told. We encourage suggestions, but discourage demands.
6. Rules are subject to change at our discretion at any time. Though we make this game with the players in mind, it is still our game.
7. By joining this game you are hereby agreeing to follow the rules that have been stated, and any we might have missed. Just use your common sense and everything should be just fine.
8. Enjoy the game!
