Basic Byond Commands

Say: This let's you talk to people on your screen.

Worldsay: This let's you talk to all the players in the current game.

Who: This let's you see who all is online.

.ping: This let's you see how fast of a connection to the server you have at the moment.


Most games will have more commands available to you. Just check the Commands tab on the upper right of the screen.

Basic Byond Controls

First off if your are using a desktop or a keyboard with the 10 key touch pad, turn off your Numlock. Usually the arrows move you around on screen. The other 5 keys are used for various different things depending on what game you are playing. For DW:SoE here is quick run down of the commands. More information can be found on the Instructions page. For those using laptops you may have to set macros for your commands.

5/Center: This is your main action command. It inputs your commands into menus, opens the menu or performs actions like opening doors or talking to people when those actions are available.

7/Northwest: This is your cancel commands. It closes your current menu or resets your battle commands.

3/Southeast: This is the menu command. It will always open your menu even when Center will cause you to open a door.

Dragon Warrior: Shadows of Erdrick

This is a game based off the Dragon Warrior series for the Nintendo Entertainment system. It uses the graphics, sounds, and ideas first appearing in the series. DW:SoE puts the player into a new story and 3 worlds to explore. This is a fan game based on the series and is not an actual DW game in itself though this game is very indepth and has many new adventures awaiting you.

Byond (Build You Own Net Dream)

In order to play this game you will need to create a byond account. You may do so at http://www.byond.com. In order to create an account you will need an email address to have your key activation sent to. The first key for each email you use is free and you will do not ever have to pay anything to use byond or DW:SoE. You are free to donate to the game or buy a membership on byond.
After you have created your key, you need to download the byond client and enter you key name and password. In order to fully use byond and play DW:SoE you will need an internet connection. Hopefully you have on if you got this far.
To join DW:SoE go to http://www.byond.com/games/8bitdream.DragonWarriorShadowsofErdrick. Click on the join button and you will be entered into the game. For more information check out the Get Started and Instructions pages.
